EFT Configuration
Navigation: System > PAP Management > PAP Configuration
Purpose: Configuring your EFT file generation
The PAP Configuration allows you to input the necessary information to generate the EFT file for submission to the banking website.
NOTE: If there is already information in the opened PAP Configuration form, DO NOT overwrite it, as it will save this to that EFT configuration. Click New to create a new PAP/EFT Configuration.
- It is strongly recommended that you use the Corporation Name as the PAP Configurations name
- e.g. "TSCC1122 PAP"
- If you have been submitting EFT files from your previous accounting system, enter the following File Creation Number.
- The Due Date should be the next date that you will be creating the EFT file for
- It should be set for the 1st of the month.
- Banks usually allow for the submission of the EFT file 6 days prior to the due date (Creation Date), this is set by default.
All other information should be provided by your Bank. Once you have entered all the required information, click Save.
When an EFT file is generated, the system will automatically advance the Due Date by 1 month. If a new EFT file is required due to an error in the previously generated one, you can revert the Due Date, subtract the File Creation Number by 1, Save, and then generate the EFT file again.
EFT File Creation
Navigation: System > PAP Management > Process PAP
Purpose: Generating the bank's EFT file for monthly PAP withdrawals
The Process PAP allows you to create the EFT file that is submitted to the Banking website to automatically withdraw Owner payments.
NOTE: If you have Corporations that have banking information missing or do not have a PAP Configuration assigned you will get validation warnings. If you are aware of them click okay to close the warnings.
You will need to set the PAP Configuration for the Corporation you are creating the EFT file for. Once done, the system will remember the PAP Configuration for future generations. This is done by clicking on the cell under PAP Configuration and using the dropdown to select the Configuration.
- You can create multiple files by selecting more than one Corporation, if applicable.
- Click Create EFT Files and save the file.
- You can review the charges prior to creating the file to see what PAP amount is being withdrawn by clicking View Report.
NOTE: Combine Files only works if the Banking Institution has that option.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Owner Banking Information (PAP) and the Assessment are needed to create EFT Files (Electronic Funds Transfer) for PAP.
