Purpose: Configuring the Chargeable Items for the Condo
The Company Chargeable Item List is used to set your System and additional charges you will be posting to Owner and Vendor Accounts Receivable Ledgers. These charge types can be customized to accommodate a wide range of charges.
In the Company Items List, you can double click on the Chargeable Item you would like to edit. If you are creating a new item, click on New,
In the form, fill out:
- Charge Name and Number
- Default Debit Account #
- Default Credit Account #
- Description
- Rate is used when the is a flat charge to be applied.
- For example, NSF charges or Administrative fees
- Tax Code is used to set what type of Tax is being applied
- This will only be used if the Unit(s) are set to be charged Tax.
- Lienable configures the charge as a Lienable item.
- Collection is used to set the charge type as a collectable item
- Maintenance sets the charge as a Maintenance item
- For example, Common Element Fees, Parking, etc.
Be sure to click Save when complete.
The Corporation Chargeable Item List is used to set Condo-specific charges that use different Charge Names or Debits/Credit Accounts than the other Condos in your portfolio.
- The Item is the entry from the Company Chargeable Items List
- The Corporation Item Name is the name you'd like to have for this Condo, if applicable
Once done, click Save to complete the edit.
